JRock

JRock is about healthy lifestyle values and an event that draws upon hundreds of students across Australia. This year Glenelg took up the challenge and began a 16 week journey that culminated in a day and night performance at the festival theatre in Adelaide.
Just like their high school cousins the Junior Rock Eisteddfod Challenge® provides the opportunity for primary school students to tell a story of their choice, on stage with costumes and music in front of a live audience.

In 2005 Glenelg produced an item based on a fun-day realization of the Wizard of Oz, called the “Wizard of Funk”. Ninety students, 6 staff and 10 parents took part in what was a great day. Scattered across this website is selection of photos depicting what the true essence of the day was all about; having fun and enjoying healthy activity.

Key roles across the performance were from Kimberley, Ben, Madison, Dylan and Saan. Coordinators were Michelle and Paul, Choreography by Miss Emma. A supportive and talented crew of Make-up Artists, painters/prop designers and costume makers came from our parent base. Glenelg thanks all helpers for their support in 2005.
